MmOooo

For some reason Kamber has been obsessed with a mole on my clavicle since she was about 5 or 6 months old. She would always try to pick it off and I would explain to her that it was a mole and did not come off. Well, within the last couple of months she has pointed out every mole and freckle on my body and told me "MmOoo" so proudly. Last week I came home from work with a big pimple in between my eyes and Kamber was in trouble so I got down on her level and said "Look at me". She looked at me so seriously, knowing that she was in trouble, and then suddenly got distracted by the pimple. She looked at it and looked at me and pointed and said "MmOoo" so proud of herself for finding it and recognizing it. At that point I lost all control and just started laughing and hugged her, I could no longer remember why she was in trouble in the first place. She is just so cute and funny and doesn't even know what she is doing that is so funny most of the time.

YAY! My job plans are final!

I got a call yesterday that I will be able to work with Chas on Fridays and Saturdays. YAY!!! I am so glad that I finally got it all set and don't have to worry anymore. I knew that it was all going to work out. Now I just have to figure out the details of Kamber's care on Fridays while I am at school with Chas. I am so excited to have gotten the opportunity to go back and work with Chas again!

job confusion

Well, I put in my 2 weeks notice and took all my tests and filled out all my paperwork and then I just needed to wait my 2 weeks and then start my new job.......or at least that's what I thought. I turned in my 2 weeks notice and all of the sudden the hours that I was told that I could work are no longer an option. This has had me under so much stress but I have finally come to the conclusion that everything happens for a reason and that if I have to go work at another house with another child that needs me, then that's what I will do. Something good will come from all of this and things will work out the way that they were meant to work out. I'll update you when I know more, but as of right now my last day at OU is next Wednesday. Hopefully I have figured things out by then. I am going to miss all of my coworkers at OU so much and hope that I can still keep in contact with them.

2 weeks notice

Ok, so I put my 2 weeks notice in today. I was so nervous about it all day and finally got the nerve up about 2pm. I was shaking when I told them, but I survived and they were very nice to me about it and told me if I ever wanted to come back I was welcome to. I am so relieved to have gotten that done and now I can start counting down the days until I get to stay home with my baby! My last day is September 3rd.

Wedding Pictures

Here are a few pictures from my sister's wedding 08-08-08. The first picture is the whole group, the second is me and all my siblings, the third one is my sister and I, the fourth one is Kamber and I and the last one is Kamber walking down the aisle. She did so good! I was so proud of her!!! I didn't really think that she would walk down with everyone watching her, but she came out and just wandered down the aisle looking at everyone and even stopped to talk to one person along the way. I am so proud of my baby girl...she is growing up too fast!

Mike update

So I talked to Mike yesterday and it looks like he will be coming home at the end of October. He says it's about 8 weeks until he is back in the states and then it will be about 2 more weeks until he is back home. I'm thinking that we will need to have some sort of homecoming get together for family so that he will get to see everyone and everyone will get to see him. That way he does not have to come home and then have to run around everywhere trying to see everyone. He just wants to come home and relax. I want to go somewhere because I have been stuck at home for a while, but I completely understand him wanting to just stay home, so that's what we will do. He wants to just hang out with Kamber and I and get to know Kamber. I can't wait for the time to come when we will get to see him again. It seemed like it would never come and now it seems like I can see the end in the distance. It is so hard having Mike gone. I don't know how Jenny has held it together for so long. I am very impressed. Jenny, we just have to hang in there a couple more months now and then we can fall apart when they get here (and I'm sure we will).

Football season has begun!

We went to Keaton's first scrimmage yesterday and Kamber loved running around the sidelines. She looked so cute in her cheerleader outfit, even if she picking her nose (she got that from her dad).

So, My hubby is now a model!!!! I know you are all jealous. He was watching UFC one night and saw a shirt which he thought he HAD to have, so he went to the website and tried to order it. Well, they did not ship to AKO addresses so he wrote to them and they sent him free shirts like the one he is wearing in this picture. Him and his buddies took pictures of themselves in the shirts and sent them to the company and wahlah! They made the website!!! We went to Big Splash last Wednesday and Kamber had so much fun. She did not want to leave. I kept asking her if she wanted to go bye bye, which she promptly responded "No!" every time.

Kamber thought she was as big as all of the other kids and kept going down all the slides again and again, but she got a little bossy when there was a line and kept telling the other kids to "Moooo!!!" (move)

Kamber was so tired from all the playing that we went to the wave pool and the minute the waves started, they rocked her right to sleep, so we stayed there for about 30 minutes so she could nap.

Kamber and Aspen love eachother...most of the time! Poor Aspen puts up with Kamber riding her like a horse, pulling her tail, and all sorts of other things, including raming her with her doll stroller!

Kamber put her picture of Daddy in her stroller and took him for a ride outside.

Here's a picture of Kamber eating her mini ravioli last night for dinner. I put her in her highchair and went to go do something. When I left she was doing so good eating with her fork. Next thing I know, she was yelling "Mom! Mom!" and I turn the corner and this is what I saw!!! She was so proud!

Ok, so I am new to this whole blog thing and you guys will have to stick with me as I figure this out. Kamber is 17 months today, time is going by way too fast. She is talking more and more every day. HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY RYLAN!!! Mike is supossed to be in Baghdad now and I heard that he made it there, although I have not personally heard from him. Hopefully he calls me soon because I am starting to get worried about him. He is probably just having too much fun.
